Current Status: At The Utah Symphony
Abravanel Hall is a strikingly beautiful building and a magnificent location to serve as the home of the Utah Symphony.
Annie and I are here, this evening, for performances of works by Stravinsky, Rachmaninoff and Beethoven.
While Beethoven’s 4th Symphony is always a huge treat we’re even more excited about hearing Andre Watts perform Rachmaninoff’s “Concerto No. 2 in C Minor for Piano and Orchestra, op 18.”
I’m giddy with excitement and can barely wait for it to start!
Incredibly, the Utah Symphony performs almost every weekend. That’s a pretty tough schedule and I honestly don’t know how they do it.
If all of this doesn’t sound terribly exciting to you it’s only because you’re not here. If you were here you’d understand!
I’m hoping we can get the Utah Tumblrs together for a symphony night sometime soon.

God, I hate that word. There is so much baggage associated with it and until recently I didn't even really apply it to myself. I've always just been "a woman." It is accurate, though, so I guess there is no avoiding it.
